Hello, on my website about Excel templates.
My name is Philipp Kuhlmann-Schaefer and I have been working with Excel since I graduated as a civil engineer. In my diploma thesis in 1997, I had to work intensively with Excel to create tables. This led to my basic knowledge of Excel, so to speak.
When I became self-employed in 2000, working with Excel was almost the order of the day. Starting with the business plan and ending with creating an invoice.
From 2003, I taught the basics of IT at BA-Ravensburg and later at DHBW Ravensburg in the banking and insurance department. I also worked in the tourism department. I also taught the basics of Excel at both institutions.
2014 was the year this website was founded. A friend of mine kept asking me for templates that she couldn’t manage with Excel. I was surprised, as it is a matter of course for me to “make” a weekly schedule or attendance list myself. This gave me the idea of creating this website to provide people with free templates.
Since 2014, the site has had over 100,000 hits and the number of newsletter subscribers has now grown to over 5,000.
As you have probably noticed, there are (Google Adsense) advertisements and links to Amazon products that I use to earn a little money.
I see this as a small compensation for my work. Big sites like forbes.com and others do it similarly.
Professionally, I work as a web designer and create websites with WordPress. I also work with search engine optimization (SEO) and sometimes write a book.
Privately, I’ve mainly been in Thailand since 2023. I like to play golf and enjoy nature. Of course, the food here is also incredibly good and the friendliness of the people is a blessing.
