A weekly work report template for Excel helps you keep track of your projects. Plus, your boss will be pleased if you keep good records.
That’s exactly why I’ve prepared this free template. You can download it here.
How to use the weekly report template
First, download the template at the end of the article.
Then open the Excel file with Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet tool (e.g., Google Sheets).
You will now see two spreadsheets where you can fill in all the details:
- Your name
- Your department of the company you work for
- Date or work week number
- Each working day
- Remarks
- Signature fields for the employee and the boss
It’s up to you, if you fill out the fields in Excel or print out for each week.

The second status report is more a tracker template. You can put in your projects (4 are possible), write down your remarks for each day, and in the last column fill out your progress in percentage. The progress is automatically shown with a gantt chart in the background of the cell!

So it’s pretty useful to show your weekly progress for each task you have to do.

* I couldn’t figure out how to put the progress bar in the background of a cell. There is only a color saturation thing I could build in. The lighter the color, the less progress.
