Cleaning checklist template

In this article you will find a template for Excel with which you can easily check whether all necessary cleaning work has been done.

Of course, you can also use the checklist for yourself to work through all necessary cleaning steps step by step.

This template is therefore intended for cleaning personnel as well as for the customer to check.

Update: More plaster plans have been integrated. For the children’s room, for gastronomy and for toilets.

How does the checklist for cleaning work?

It is very simple. First you download the template at the end of this article. Then open it with your software that uses tables – probably Microsoft Excel.

Since you certainly don’t want to carry your computer or notebook with you when cleaning, it makes sense to print out the checklist. So open the print dialog with CTRL+P and print the list.

Now you can take the checklist with you and use it on site.

In the left column all activities are listed, which you can of course still adapt and extend. In the column next to it you can see the frequency. To make sure that everything has been done correctly, you can enter a date in the last columns and mark the activity as completed with a cross, circle or other symbol.

A circle was used in the example.

Tidy up plan for kids room

It is certainly always a special challenge to get the child or children to clean up the room. Whether a plan for this always works, of course, can not be answered here.

However, it always has a positive effect when children are given clear rules to guide them. For this purpose, the children’s room plan is presented here. It is divided into morning, noon and evening. Tasks such as airing, making the bed, putting toys away, etc. are typical for things that occur in the children’s room.

Especially important: Offer one or more rewards! Such incentives reinforce the desire to do everything right. Both sides benefit. It’s best to choose a reward that involves the whole family. Such as a visit to the zoo or something similar.

The tasks are only entered as placeholders. You can adapt them to your needs as you wish.

Cleaning plan for gastronomy

In the hospitality industry, hygiene compliance is further regulated by the FDA and FSIS. This quality tool includes hazard analysis and critical control or steering points with regard to food production and processing.

To meet these requirements, cleaning should or even must be recorded. Apparently, this applies to any size of operation. For this control I have now prepared the following template. You can use it to record exactly which items are to be cleaned, when and by whom. In addition, the cleaning is still recorded with a control or protocol slip and confirmed with signature.

The process is limited to cleaning work that occurs daily and weekly in the kitchen or at the preparation site.

This form of list can be seen in almost all public toilets and silent restrooms of companies: The control list for the toilet. In order for this article to really support most forms of cleaning schedules, this form of protocol is also available for download.
